A City Alive with Culture and Colorful Festival Celebrations
T he Longganisa Festival of Vigan is one of the most exciting and colorful celebrations I’ve ever experienced. It is held every January to honor Vigan’s famous longganisa and to give tribute to its patron saint, St. Paul. The festival shows the deep connection between food, faith, and culture in the city. The streets come alive with decorations, music, and people from different places who come to join the fun. One of the highlights of my trip was watching the street dance competition. Different groups performed lively dances while wearing bright and creative costumes. They danced along the streets, and everyone cheered for their favorite performers. The energy of the crowd and the rhythm of the music made the whole experience unforgettable. Another exciting part was the showdown competition.
