T he Longganisa Festival of Vigan is one of the most exciting and colorful celebrations I’ve ever experienced. It is held every January to honor Vigan’s famous longganisa and to give tribute to its patron saint, St. Paul. The festival shows the deep connection between food, faith, and culture in the city. The streets come alive with decorations, music, and people from different places who come to join the fun. One of the highlights of my trip was watching the street dance competition. Different groups performed lively dances while wearing bright and creative costumes. They danced along the streets, and everyone cheered for their favorite performers. This third quarter, I learned about HTML tags and how they are used to create and format simple web pages. It helped me understand the basics of how websites work and made me more interested in learning technology. I also learned a lot from our Community-Based Research (CBR) about arts and culture. Through our interviews and exploration, I realized that there are many hidden arts, crafts, and cultural practices in our town or municipality. This experience made me appreciate our local culture more and see its importance in our community. This quarter also gave me many memorable moments with my classmates. We worked together on different activities, especially in our CBR, and shared fun and meaningful experiences. I enjoyed bonding with them and building stronger friendships.
